Happy Monday everyone! I have a pretty manicure for you today, and then also a life update. I’ll put the life update at the end so if you don’t care, no need to read the whole thing (please care! ๐ )! This manicure combines two of my favorite things: stamping and SPARKLES!
Pretty! Actually it’s more than 2 of my favorite things, since there’s a teal base color and a glitter polish inspired by The Little Mermaid! So yeah, FOUR of my favorite things. ๐
And a close up of my thumb (excuse how nubby it is – I was just traveling and it broke right off while packing!):
That glitter! So fantastic!
What I used:
- Base color: Zoya Robyn… a gorgeous bright turquoise creme polish
- Stamping plate: MoYou London Explorer XL 03
- Stamping polish: Mundo de Unas 32 Reddish
- Glitter topper: Ellagee Poor Unfortunate Souls… this topper is just crazy amazeballs. It’s a clear base with red hexesย and teal squares/ hexes/ microglitter. AND it’s inspired by Ursula from The Little Mermaid – how can you go wrong?! I bought 3 of Ellagee’s polishes from the new Villainous collection, and I definitely see myself buying a million more!
OK life update time! I am in my very last year of subspecialty training in the Neonatal ICU, and it’s that time to start looking for a job. So I just had my very first two job interviews! They both went really well, and I have a definite front-runner. They will probably let me know the deal by mid October, so keep your fingers crossed for me please!!
Have you tried Ellagee before? If not, you totally need to!
Ok, so, I love all of this, but especially the stamping polish with Robin – what a great unexpected combo!!!
Thanks! I wanted to bring out the accent of the red glitter in the Ellagee topper, so I was happy to find I had a red stamping polish!!
Loving Poor Unfortunate Souls – oddly, I have a LM mani coming up this week too. Wishing you the very best of broken legs with your interviews!
Thank you so much! PUS is sooo pretty! I look forward to seeing your mani ๐
Good luck with the job hunt! This is really pretty and unique, I love these colors together! I have that Ellagee, too, it’s so gorgeous!
Thanks so much! I really am loving Ellagee and her glitters!
How pretty! The stamping looks great and I like the glitter nails too.
Thanks so much! I hadn’t stamped in awhile, so I’m glad it turned out alright ๐
How exciting! I don’t know how you do nails and keep a doctor’s schedule, I see the residents frantically running around the hospital I work at and want no part of it lol. I hope you find the job you want doing what you love!
I also have a deep love of stamping and glitter, so I โค this, too. That MoYou plate is on my wishlist and I am stalking their site for a restock!
Thank you so much! I had this MoYou plate on my wish list for awhile too – it was totally worth it ๐
My last year of training has a lot of research time, so I’m home a bit more than I used to be! More time for the nails ๐ But I’ll be running around again soon (hopefully not as frantically as when I was a resident though)!
Love the colors here! You nailed it with the color you used for the stamping. It brings everything together. Such a fun mani!
Thank you so much! I was inspired by the Ellagee glitter and loved the combo of teal/ turquoise and red ๐
I love that stamp! I really need to pick up some more MoYou London plates, and now this one is on my list! Woohoo about the job prospects, too! ๐
Thank you so much!! Yes – this is a great plate! I added a bunch to my wishlist recently, but I’m trying to use the ones I have more!
I love the stamping you did (colors and pattern) and you have further convinced me that I need that glitter (I have already been eying it in Ellagee’s shop!
Thank you! I’ve been missing stamping in my life – I need to get back to it! And YES – you need Poor Unfortunate Souls… and all her other glitters ๐ My other favorite is Friends on the Other Side, which has lime green and fuchsia glitter!
I love blue and orange together ๐
Thanks! The stamping polish looks red in some lights and orangish in other ๐ I love the combo too!
Loving the color contrast on this mani! Looks gorgeous!
Thank you so much!!
Eeek! Good luck!! My fingers are crossed for you! I also love this mani and now I NEED this Ellagee!!! I love Ellagees, please tell me you have BOOM! and KACHOW!?
Thank you so much!! Hopefully with all these crossed fingers, I’ll get the job ๐
Ugh I desperately want Boom & Kachow! That’s definitely going on my next Ellagee order! Do you have them?
These nails are so pretty! I love that glitter and your stamping looks amazing!! Keeping my fingers crossed for you!! (:
Thank you so much!! I was pretty happy with how this stamping came out too. ๐
Iโm not that much of a online reader to be honest but your blogs really nice, keep it up!
I’ll go ahead and bookmark your website to come back down the road.
All the best
Thank you so much! I’m happy you enjoy my blog – come back again to check it out. I tend to post 3x a week ๐
Ohhh I need a stamp like that! So pretty! Awesome combo with the glitters ๐
Thank you!! I do love that stamping plate a whole lot ๐
That is SUCH a surprising combo.
But I do like it.
Thanks! Sometimes when you put together a bunch of favorites, it’s a hot mess. But I really liked this one ๐
